Release notes record visible changes, fixes, and known limitations for ProdRoads Editor and ProdRoads Reader.

ProdRoads Editor

The first packaged preview of ProdRoads Editor includes the complete roadmap creation and maintenance workflow intended for Early Access.

Included

• Create and edit .pr roadmap files in Per Topic, Per People, and Time Summary views.
• Plan with blocks, groups, teams, people, portraits, key dates, sprints, and milestones.
• Create multiple dependency types, including dependencies across referenced External Files.
• Import, export, and optionally auto-sync shared workspace data through .prw files.
• Filter, hide, isolate, copy, resize, move, recolor, and assign roadmap work.
• Open project and workspace files directly from Windows Explorer.
• Use the application in 20 interface languages.

Improvements and fixes

• Added Ctrl + drag selection for selecting multiple roadmap blocks.
• Added clear mixed-selection states when assigning teams to several blocks.
• Improved unassigned and multi-team indicators inside roadmap blocks.
• Improved text editing, focus restoration, modal behavior, and keyboard shortcuts across application windows.
• Empty-line cleanup now works consistently in Per People.
• Ungrouped lines remain close to their previous group position.
• Truncated block labels expand on hover, including blocks shown from External Files.
• Improved dependency routing, same-date connections, and continuity across External Files.
• New roadmaps now start one week before their creation date and end one year later.
• Auto-synced workspace changes can be reviewed before updating a roadmap; inherited items remain identifiable and protected from direct editing.

ProdRoads Reader 0.9.0

The first packaged preview of the free Reader opens the same .pr files as Editor without allowing roadmap changes.

Included

• Open ProdRoads roadmap files in read-only mode.
• Navigate Per Topic, Per People, and Time Summary views.
• Search, filter, inspect dependencies, follow approved links, and browse referenced External Files.
• Open .pr files directly from Windows Explorer when Editor is not registered for the file type.
• Install Reader and Editor side by side while keeping Editor as the preferred application for editable ProdRoads files.
• Use the same 20 interface languages as Editor.

Read-only behavior

• Reader never saves changes to .pr files.
• Editing commands and editing context-menu entries are unavailable.
• Temporary display choices such as filters and hidden lines are not written back to the roadmap.
• Reader does not open .prw workspace files.

Package verification

This checksum identifies the current Reader installer. It will change when a new package is produced.

Reader uses a per-user installation. The checksum above matches the public download.
