Privacy

Privacy for a local-first
desktop app.

ProdRoads is designed to keep roadmap data in files controlled by the user or studio, without product telemetry or account requirements.

Key privacy principles

Application data

What stays local.

Collection

What the desktop app does not collect.

External links

Opening a link may leave ProdRoads.

Roadmap blocks can contain links to external tools or websites. When a user opens a link, the browser or third-party application takes over and its own privacy rules apply.

Reader and Editor

Both editions follow the same local-first principle.

Reader opens roadmap files without editing them. Editor can modify files, teams, workspaces, and roadmap data, but the data remains in files controlled by the user or studio.

Storage responsibility

Company storage remains company-controlled.

If ProdRoads files are stored in a managed location, privacy and access control are governed by that storage provider and the studio configuration.
